Mechanical Difficulties Strike Baas While He Was Running Third Sunday in Rolex GT Race at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 24, 2007) -- A possible podium finish or at least a top five was in sight for Ian Baas of Noblesville, Ind., Sunday during the Rolex Series GT race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, but unfortunately those hopes collapsed when a wheel hub broke on the At Speed Motorsports Porsche on lap 68 of the 94-lap race while Baas was in third place.

Baas and White Finish Where They Start in Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen

Baas to Drive in Three Races This Weekend at The Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 9, 2007) -- Ian Baas will drive in three different races at Watkins Glen International this weekend, and he'll start 14th in two of them following qualifying sessions Friday at the 3.4-mile, 11-turn road course. He'll qualify for the third race tomorrow morning.

Baas Has a Busy Memorial Day; Competes in Two Races at Lime Rock

LAKEVILLE, Conn. (May 30, 2007) -- Memorial Day was memorable for Ian Baas, as he competed in two different racing series' events on Monday at Lime Rock Park here.

Baas, of Noblesville, Ind., finished eighth out of 25 drivers in the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring car race Monday afternoon on the 1.53-mile road course. He contributed to an extremely solid performance by the STaSIS Motorsport team, as all three of its Audi A4s finished in the top 10.
